The Barn Nursery Experience

Here at the Barn we believe that our clients come first.  This is best executed by letting us serve as your creative design consultant.  As your design authority we will assist you in turning your yard into the beautiful, innovative, and one-of-a-kind outdoor living space that you have always envisioned.  We believe that not only can this process change the look of your yard, but also change the way you look and feel in your own yard.

·       First Impressions:

At the initial meeting the designer and client will start by going over the project goals and expectations.

- At this time clients should provide the following information:

1.    Plat of Survey

2.    Plot of Septic (if applies)

3.    Budget

4.    Your wonderful Dreams and ideas

* This initial meeting usually lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour.

·       Conceptual:

The conceptual phase will beginning the process of expressing your dreams and ideas on a scaled and fully labeled drawing.

- At this time we will be doing the following:

1.    Measuring and photographing site

2.    Re-creating plot of survey with existing structures and plants

3.    Analyze the movement, functional components, and esthetic beauty of the space.

4.    Come up with creative ways to express your thoughts and wishes.

5.    Provide a scale drawing with plant material and hardscapes labeled with quantities and pictures.

·       Design Critique:

During the Design Critique phase of the project the client and designer will sit down and study the drawing.

- At this time the client and designer will do the following:   

      1.   Thoroughly go over Master Landscape Plan.

      2.   Look at pictures and samples of plants and hardscapes as needed.

      3.   Note any changes and make revisions on Master Plan.

      4.   Go over any additional approvals and/or permits.

      5.   Go over Detailed Proposal 

During finalization the designer will go over any changes that were made and contracts will be signed.

- At this time clients will be responsible for the following:

                  1.   Signing the contract and terms and conditions.

                  2.   Giving final approval on the design.

                  3.    Providing a deposit on the job.

·       Dreams become Reality

Here is where the fun begins.  Watching your yard transform from its existing state to what you have always dreamed it would be.

- At this time the Barn Nursery will be doing the following:

                  1.   Executing the contract as per the design.

                  2.   Creating an outdoor space you can be proud of.

                  3.   Cleaning up the job site and going over the finished product.

                  * Final payment will be handled after the job is complete.
